As companies gear up for Super Bowl 50, some wise retailers are teaming up with delivery services to get their products into customers’ hands before, during and after the big game.
DICK’s Sporting Goods has joined with Uber’s UberRUSH to provide displaced fans with the chance to be part of their team’s championship celebration following Sunday’s game. Fans won’t have to wait to wear apparel that proclaims their team this year’s winner.
“Our partnership with DICK’S Sporting Goods is a great example of creative ways that businesses of all sizes can leverage on-demand delivery enabled by UberRUSH to engage with their customers,”said Michael Conti, General Manager, UberEVERYTHING NYC.

If successful, this partnership could be a watershed event, solidifying Uber’s position as a go-to source for the delivery of not only people but goods as well. In turn, this will open the floodgates for the retail industry to embrace non-traditional delivery companies and methods and get those last few yards for the conversion. Can the world’s reliance on the USPS, FedEx and UPS be waning even further? Testing Uber’s efficiency during the biggest of all U.S. events, truly a trial by fire, could be the answer.
This year’s game will be like no other as viewers will be able to order cans, bottles and kegs of beer (ice, too!) and have it delivered to their door in 30 to 60 minutes through the Bud Light + Minibar partnership. And your pizza party is just a voice command away as Amazon Echo syncs up with Domino’s. Getting off the couch to grab a beer and order pizza? What is this, Super Bowl IL?!
