Primark Continues U.S. Expansion with First Chicago Store

International fashion, beauty and homeware retailer Primark has opened a new store in downtown Chicago. This location is Primark’s first in the city (and in Illinois) and brings the brand’s U.S. store count to 12.

The 36,600-square-foot store offers women’s, men’s and kidswear fashions, including footwear and accessories, as well as lingerie, homeware and beauty. Customers also can shop Primark’s brand-new collaboration with the NBA. The store also offers a range of products made using sustainable, recycled and organic materials that are part of the Primark Cares initiative, the retailer’s commitment to using more environmentally friendly materials.

The store has extensive safety measures in place to help protect employees and customers while they shop, including:

  • Limits on the number of customers allowed in-store at any one time to allow for the appropriate distancing;
  • Clear signage and floor decals; and
  • Dedicated employees and additional security staff to guide customers through the store in a way that limits contact with others.

Primark opened its first U.S. store in 2015 and operates locations mostly in the Northeast as well as Florida, in addition to its new Midwest presence with the Chicago store opening. Across the globe, Primark has more than 385 stores spread over 13 countries.
