Needle Logo FINAL FINAL FINAL webreadyNeedle, a consumer engagement platform provider, unveiled its Advocate-Assisted Shopping Cart capability during the 2015 Internet Retailer Conference and Exhibition (IRCE).

As part of the normal online chat flow, advocates routinely suggest products to shoppers based on their needs. This solution arms Needle-certified online retail advocates with the ability to add products directly to a consumer’s shopping cart from the chat window. The platform is designed to personalize the shopper experience and boost conversion rates for online businesses.

“If a customer wants a customized driver, I can now create it specifically for them and place it in their cart,” said Jackson Sveen, a representative at Taylor Made. “Shoppers don’t have to do heavy shopping or browsing any more. They can tell advocates exactly what they need, and we can help customize their order and send them directly to checkout.”

Key features of the Needle Advocate-Assisted Shopping Cart include:

  • Dual transparency, which provides the same, shared view of the cart to advocates and shoppers;

  • A customized basket buildthat enables advocates to proactively suggest other relevant products to shoppers and custom build their shopping carts;

  • Improvements to the mobile shopping experience by placing shopping cart contents directly in mobile users’ chat windows;

  • The ability to apply unique, time-based promo codes to further increase the likelihood of conversion; and

Integration with all major e-Commerce platforms, including Demandware, Magento, Bigcommerce and Hybris.
