HR Group, a European shoe distributor, has implemented TXTChain, the supplier relationship management (SRM) software, to streamline communication and collaboration with more than 200 suppliers.
The TXTChain platform is designed to help manage orders, as well as coordinate and track deliveries with global suppliers and third-party logistics providers. Select HR Group employees will use the platform to source and plan daily deliveries up to six months in advance.
“We needed to automate order management, more accurately plan our global deliveries and gain more visibility into delivery progress and any potential delays to keep us in synch with our international retail business,” said Felix Finger, Executive Director at HR Group. He added that the retailer will use TXTChain to communicate across various departments involved in the procurement process, transmit orders from its ERP system to suppliers, confirm orders, detect possible delays and respond appropriately.

Previously, HR Group relied heavily on spreadsheets, emails and phone calls to track the international supply chain. Now the retailer, which sells approximately 40 million pairs of shoes a year and manages about 100 deliveries a week, will integrate seamlessly with suppliers and global logistics providers to work in a shared, real-time environment.
