Forever 21 has both unveiled a new Android app and updated its existing iPhone app, in a move designed to build its omnichannel experience through personalized shopping and content.
The fast fashion retailer’s new app experience includes a feature called “F21 Inspiration,” which displays shoppable editorial stories, look books and exclusive videos. The app also provides instant access to all Forever 21 social channels and can deliver updates on exclusive items, sales and offers.
The app will offer a “Scan and Shop” feature, which enables users to scan an item’s barcode to obtain details, read reviews and share product finds with a friend. Additionally, the app will include a store locator, a wish list, customer service help and an order status check-in feature.

With mobile having a greater impact on the consumer experience as consumers use it both to browse and buy products, accounting for nearly $800 million in sales during Cyber Monday alone, it appears Forever 21 is taking advantage of the shift just in time for the rest of the 2015 holiday season.
