Epicor Software has formed a strategic partnership with Magento, an e-Commerce platform owned by eBay Inc., to release Cross-Commerce, a new solution designed to “support rich omnichannel retailing,” according to a company press announcement.
Integrated with the Merchandising and Enterprise Selling solutions from Epicor, Cross-Commerce was created to converge with in-store POS systems, mobile devices, call centers, kiosks and social media. As a result, retailers can create personalized sales, targeted promotions, recommendation engines and contact centers, leading to increased sales and improved customer loyalty.

Using Cross-Commerce, retailers will have access to a variety of tools to improve online sales, including search engine optimization, catalog management, and other marketing tools to support e-Commerce sites. Other features include a merchandising suite, rule-based product relations, private sales and gift registries.
“In today’s age of razor thin customer loyalty, it is vital for retailers to provide a unified customer experience, no matter the channel they choose to engage in,” said Ian Rawlins, VP of Marketing and Business Development of Retail Software for Epicor. Through the sharing of business logic across channels, organizations “can support real-time, cross-channel retailing for higher sales, lower costs, and greater customer satisfaction.”
