DICK’S Sporting Goods has partnered with Instacart to launch same-day delivery at more than 150 stores. The service will be available to shoppers in Connecticut, Delaware, Georgia, Maryland, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Virginia and Washington, D.C.
Shoppers can place their orders through DICK’S ecommerce site or the Instacart app. Options include one-hour rush delivery or scheduled deliveries with windows later in the day. The service will cover thousands of DICK’S Sporting Goods products including sporting and athletic equipment, outdoor recreation gear and apparel, footwear and accessories.
“We’re pleased to work with Instacart to provide another safe and convenient shopping option for our customers during the very busy last few weeks of the holiday season and beyond,” said Joe Pietropola, SVP of Ecommerce at DICK’S Sporting Goods in a statement. “Our technology solutions have been able to deliver products to our athletes, however, wherever and whenever they want. By adding Instacart, we give our athletes another same-day option, which is fast and reliable delivery to their homes.”
A number of retailers began harnessing Instacart to launch or enhance their same-day delivery services in the latter half of 2020, including Walmart, Best Buy, 7-Eleven and Bed Bath & Beyond. The solution provider now works with more than 500 retailers and delivers from 40,000 stores across more than 5,500 cities in the U.S. and Canada.
