The design:retail Winning Windows legacy continues in 2020, honoring holiday windows not just in Manhattan but across North America.
Needed more than ever in a holiday season filled with uncertainty, exceptional holiday windows delight shoppers with their artistry and visual mastery while spreading joy and the spirit of the season and connecting with consumers. design:retail and Retail TouchPoints are inviting all retailers to let their storefronts shine by entering the annual Winning Windows contest (entry is free): complete and email this form to [email protected] by Monday, Nov. 30.
Due to the unique circumstances of 2020, this year’s competition will be judged virtually. This will also allow our publications to spread the window love and expand the competition to include a new category — Winning Windows of North America — which will be open to all retailers in North America that want to show off their visual prowess. Winning Windows of New York will be eligible for the Platinum, Gold and Silver Awards, while Winning Windows of North America entries will compete for a Judges’ Choice Award and a PAVE People’s Choice Award, open for voting with a donation to PAVE (voting will be open Dec. 7-11; additional information will be forthcoming). All entrants submit using the same form.
Windows will be viewed virtually by the judges and evaluated in the following three categories: Originality and creativity; Spirit of the season; and Professionalism (execution and technical aspects, including lighting, mechanics, signing/copy, and mannequin and/or merchandise presentation). The awards will be announced in mid-December at RetailTouchPoints.com and via a Zoom cocktail hour.
