Furniture and lifestyle brand Burrow has begun to expand its retail presence with its first Boston location. Over the next two years, Burrow will open nine additional showrooms in major U.S. metropolitan areas, with locations to be announced at a later date.
Burrow House Boston opened April 26 by appointment only. The showroom will open to the public in May, offering its signature immersive furniture buying experience based on high touch point engagement. Through its Burrow House at Home program, Burrow also offers virtual consultations that blend ecommerce with a personalized design planning experience for home categories including living room, bedroom and home office.
Following the success of the Burrow New York flagship, which launched in February 2020, the brand with DTC roots decided to expand and differentiate its brick-and-mortar presence. For example, customers who shop in-store will be afforded opportunities to preview products prior to their launch and before they are available online.
“Burrow has always been driven by customer feedback and meeting our customers where they are is part of our ethos as a company,” said Stephen Kuhl, Co-founder and CEO of Burrow in a statement. “Since opening our flagship Burrow House, we’ve refined our strategy to seamlessly connect all channels, so our customers can shop online, come into the store to learn more, go home to take more measurements and follow up with our retail staff afterwards for additional design advice.”
