Microsoft Announces New BI
Tools at Convergence Event
Microsoft announced enhancements to its Dynamics suite of products at the company’s Convergence 2011 event held April 11, 2011 in Atlanta, Georgia. CEO Steve Ballmer unveiled Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012, a new ERP solution that empowers retailers to anticipate and embrace change. The beta of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2012 will be released in April 2011. The final release is expected to be generally available in August 2011. Building on the success of Microsoft Dynamics CRM Online, the company revealed a path for its ERP customers to move to the cloud with the next major releases of Microsoft Dynamics ERP solutions, which will run on the Windows Azure platform. Customers will be able to move to the cloud on their own terms.
Microsoft also announced Microsoft Dynamics SL 2011, designed to give businesses a faster time to value through integration with Microsoft Project 2010, now generally available. In addition, the company announced that Microsoft Dynamics GP 2010 R2, which offers business intelligence capability enhancements, will be generally available May 1, 2011.

JustEnough Software Announces Partnership With Junction
Solutions; Launches Markdown Planning Solution
JustEnough Software Corporation, a provider of demand management solutions, and Junction Solutions, a provider of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP solutions) recently announced a global partnership. The partnership provides Junction Solutions and Microsoft Dynamics AX customers an option for merchandise and assortment planning, demand forecasting, inventory planning, allocation and replenishment. The two companies have an exclusive agreement in the UK where they jointly deliver solutions to customers including Icon Live, a jewelry and accessories supplier.
In other JustEnough news, the company recently announced a new Markdown Planning solution available for retailers looking to better manage their inventory and product lifecycles while increasing margins.
