Department store Belk launched a new community relations platform called Belk: Project Hometown during the Belk Bowl on Dec. 29, 2017. The retailer announced a $15 million commitment over the next five years to organizations that support their hometowns and local communities.
As part of the initiative, Belk will provide its customers with chances to give back to their communities. “Our customers have supported us for nearly 130 years,” the company said in a release. “It’s only fitting we continue to return the favor.”
