The Association for Retail Technology Standards (ARTS), a technology division of the National Retail Federation, recently announced the release of Version 2.0 of the Standard RFP for Cloud Computing in Retail. The new version offers selection guidelines for the full menu of cloud computing services. ARTS Executive Director Richard Mader said the Version 2.0 solidifies ARTS’ position as the leader in SaaS support for retail. Building on the “Cloud Computing for Retail” whitepaper from ARTS, the enhanced RFP provides retailers with practical guidance in selecting SaaS services that support their business models. “This enhanced RFP will save retailers valuable time normally required to develop meaningful RFPs for cloud computing solution vendors,” said Darrell Sandefur, Director of Digital Architecture for Luxottica Retail and Co-Chair of the ARTS Board. “Retailers now can leverage the experience of the ARTS committee and get a running start on their own cloud implementations.” The new version of the Standard RFP for Cloud Computing is available now to ARTS members at www.nrf-arts.org. It is offered at no charge to ARTS and NRF members, and available for purchase by non-members.
