360pi today announced a partnership with IBM, which integrates the 360pi pricing intelligence solutions with IBM Smarter Commerce initiative.
The combined solution set is designed to enable 360pi to help retail customers, such as Ace Hardware, “optimize their base, promotional and markdown pricing to drive sales, volume, and profits,” reported 360pi in a press statement.
With the combined solution, “In addition, by being more in tune with varying prices by market, we will be able to better balance price image challenges with margin pressures,” said Dale Fennel, Director, Category Management and Retail Development for Ace Hardware Corporation.

By partnering with 360pi, IBM is aiming to “help retailers better implement pricing and promotional strategies through predictive analytics, resulting in a more personalized shopping experience for consumers,” noted Jay Henderson, Global Strategy Program Director for IBM Smarter Commerce.
