Digital experience company Episerver has signed an agreement to acquire B2B commerce solution provider Insite Software. Insite customers will gain access to Episerver’s global footprint and Customer-Centric Digital Experience Platform, while Episerver customers will benefit from Insite’s focus on B2B and purpose-built solutions. The deal comes on the heels of Episerver’s acquisition of Idio in November 2019.
“It proves our commitment to invest aggressively behind Episerver’s ambitious customer-centricity strategy, visionary product roadmap and growing market presence,” said Adam Berger, Chairman of Episerver in a statement. “We saw a big opportunity to deliver greater value to the underserved trillion-dollar B2B commerce market, which is set to surpass B2C retail sales by two-fold next year.”
Insite helps manufacturers and distributors with a B2B e-Commerce platform that includes product information management (PIM), analytics, mobile and product catalog functionalities. The pairing with Episerver is designed to further accelerate commerce functionality and deliver customer-centric digital experiences in order to better understand customers, grow a brand and uncover new revenue.
