Online cash back platform Ebates will now reach more customers in the mobile shopping arena with its acquisition of product discovery app Shopular.
Shopular offers intuitive product discovery experiences and utilizes geotargeting technology, which alerts users about relevant deals and coupons when they are near their favorite stores.
The deal enables Shopular to introduce cash back shopping to its 1 million+ users. Founders Navneet Loiwal and Tommy Tsai will remain with the company as general managers of the Shopular business, leading technology development and the cash back integration. Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
