Collective Cannabis has partnered with AI and robotics startup Wings to utilize the solution provider’s EXO Delivery System to streamline logistics and deliver an enhanced customer experience. The EXO system is designed to automate retail logistics and workflows with extensibility, versatility and sustainability in mind.
Collective Cannabis is focused on reducing congestion and minimizing waiting times at its store in Littleton, Mass., which is set to open in Q1 2022. The shop will operate with eight budtenders and dedicated stations for both mobile and online orders.
The EXO system will help automate the flow of products to each pickup space without taking away floor space from budtenders or customers. Collective Cannabis will use three distribution models that can store and deliver up to 90 orders whenever needed, to help the retailer keep up with peak hours.
“As cannabis retailers focus on quality and premium products, the differentiation stops there,” said David Giannetta, CEO and founder of Collective Cannabis in a statement. “The premium experience now shifts to operational efficiency within the retail space, beginning with the customer and carrying through to the back. We are delighted to lead the industry in adopting robotics that values products, floor space, time and most importantly, people.”
