Target has transformed its aisles and app into a “fantastical destination” for the holidays, designed to capture the joy of the season while helping customers in their gift-giving quests. Stores have been equipped with a range of holiday displays and themed areas, including a peppermint swirl path, a Merry Cherry Chalet and, in some locations, a nine-foot-tall holiday bear. Digital visitors will be treated to a similarly festive experience with wintry animations and new gift-giving tools.

“The holidays are a time when anything is possible, especially with Target by your side to bring magic to every grocery trip or gift-seeking mission,” said Cara Sylvester, EVP and Chief Guest Experience Officer at Target in a blog post. “From peppermint swirls that provide a nostalgic, comforting touch to charming Fantastical Forest characters that greet guests as they explore what’s new, Target is the place where ease, affordability and joy come together to make ordinary moments — like prepping for a holiday dinner or picking up a last-minute gift — into something extraordinary.”

For those who prefer to shop online, Target’s app and website will come alive with festive touches like falling snow and other joyful animations. Customers also can use new tools including GiftFinder, which helps shoppers zero in on the perfect present for everyone on their list, and a Holiday Wish List tool to simplify holiday planning.

Target Stores Get a Festive Upgrade

In stores across the country, consumers can step into Target’s Fantastical Forest, where they’ll follow a peppermint swirl path to the Merry Cherry Chalet for a curated selection of gifts, or stop at the London station for Marks & Spencer holiday must-haves. They can keep going to Candy Cane Corner, with more than 50 new Favorite Day treats, and swing by the Trim the Tree Lot with everything needed for holiday decorating.

This season, customers also will encounter a whimsical new character, Berry the Bear, via in-store and digital signage. Berry will be available for sale as a Gigglescape plush toy and featured on Wondershop pajamas, and a nine-foot-tall plush Berry will appear in select stores throughout the holiday season for photos and hugs. Mini versions of Berry the Bear also will be given away to Target Circle members at select stores in November and December.

The Target Holiday Magic isn’t Confined to Traditional Stores

For inspiration beyond the aisles, the interactive pop-up installation Target Wonderland has returned to New York City, Atlanta and Dallas this year. Guests can immerse themselves in a magical world inspired by fantastical forests and peppermint paths, with shoppable and shareable experiences featuring brands such as Hasbro, Marvel, Lego and L’Oreal.
