AliExpress, the international online retail marketplace operated by Alibaba International Digital Commerce Group, is celebrating its collaboration with actress and comedian Tiffany Haddish by embarking on a pop-up store “tour” around Los Angeles.
The tour is AliExpress’ first foray into the U.S., and each store will feature interactive elements, personal shopping concierges and variety of products, from e-bikes to smart watches to home goods. Shoppers also will get to browse Haddish’s curated AliExpress collection, which will be exclusively available in a virtual showroom on AliExpress.com and will tout a selection of her favorite wellness, beauty, tech and fashion products.
Store visitors will even get to participate in contests, including a chance to win a dorm room makeover, spin a prize wheel to win thousands of dollars in instant prizes and several golden tickets worth up to $1,000.
“The AliExpress Pop-Up Tour is an immersive shopping experience packed with interactive elements and unique, on-trend products consumers will love,” said Chris Carl, Head of Marketing for AliExpress U.S. in a statement. “We’re thrilled to be teaming up with Tiffany to debut this unique experience and introduce AliExpress throughout Los Angeles and the U.S.”
The tour will begin at the Grove West Hollywood on Aug. 19-20, with a live appearance from Haddish, and then travel to Santa Monica Pier on Aug. 22-23 and Glendale Galleria on Aug. 25-27.
