Nearly three quarters (73%) of retailers already arm their store associates with mobile technology or plan to in the near future, according to the 2017 Retail TouchPoints Store Operations Survey.
Retailers responding to the fifth annual survey reported that "mobilizing" the store workforce leads to increases in:
- Customer satisfaction (58% of respondents);
- Employee morale (44%);
- Cross-sells/upsells (42%);
- Average dollar sales (28%); and
- Customer retention/loyalty (25%).
