65% of Retail Employment Applications Made on Mobile Devices

Job seekers in retail tend to be more active on mobile devices than those in other sectors, so it’s vital that retail recruiters optimize for mobile — particularly for the busy holiday hiring season. Just under 65% of job-seekers apply on mobile devices, according to the Appcast Eighth Annual Recruitment Marketing Benchmark Report.

Additionally, there are some signs that the retail labor shortage is easing: the median apply rate (the number of visitors to a recruiting site that actually apply for a job) rose by nearly 50% in 2023 compared to 2022, climbing from 4.17% to 6.10%.
