NexTech AR Solutions has launched its Try-It-On AR experience designed for online shoppers. The solution combines facial tracking capabilities with AI-powered computer vision technology to show shoppers what they would look like while wearing various items.
Try-It-On is compatible with glasses, headwear, jewelry and certain other pieces of apparel. The current iteration tracks eyes, enabling accurate previews for eyewear, and NexTech is developing support for lips, ears, mouths and other areas above the shoulder as well.

By enabling shoppers to assess the look and fit of an item before purchase, the virtual fitting room is designed to eliminate frustration that occurs when shoppers order incorrectly sized items, and return them at a later time.
The software is available to shoppers on both desktop and mobile devices, and can be embedded in banner ads or Facebook posts to drive digital marketing efforts. Like all of NexTech’s AR solutions, the technology is deployed through code and can be embedded within existing e-Commerce web sites.
