Magento Commerce has introduced a Holiday Dashboard designed to use live data to guide merchant decisions in order to maximize holiday sales. The e-Commerce platform provider also introduced the companion 2016 Magento Holiday Benchmark in August to provide aggregated trend data across a broad set of merchants.
This cloud analytics service provides merchants with improved analysis of their holiday campaigns and compares performance with competitors.
Key capabilities of the Magento Holiday Dashboard include:
Customer Acquisition: Identifies the source of the most valuable holiday customers and invest marketing dollars in the highest-impact channels;
Customer Retention: Reveals the best times to email existing customers with targeted holiday campaigns;
Improved Productivity: Provides a team with a single source with centralized goals to drive holiday performance; and
Magento Holiday Benchmark: Measures holiday performance against competitors and offers new insights on industry trends and averages.
On average, merchants will acquire 59% more customers during the holiday but, because those customers buy less and return less often, they are 13% less profitable, according to the 2016 Magento Holiday Benchmark.
