Single Touch Appoints Toys “R” Us Alum To Head National Retail Sales

 


Single Touch Systems, Inc.
, a mobile media solution provider, has hired former Toys “R” Us executive Adam Meshekow as its new Head of National Retail Sales. In his new position, Meshekow will focus on improving the company’s direct sales and marketing strategies by developing plans for future engagement strategies and overall product development.

Previously, Meshekow served as Mobile Brand Marketing Manager at Toys “R” Us. During his tenure, he successfully drove more than $100 million in sales through mobile coupons, rewards and sweepstakes. Prior to that, Meshekow was the Mobile Marketing Director at Seqrets, LLC.

It was also announced that Peter Smith — a 25-year advertising and media sales veteran — will join the Single Touch team to add his media expertise to the company’s business development strategies. Smith previously worked as the Vice President and General Manager of Titan 360, an airport, transit and out-of-home advertising company, and worked for notable organizations, such as American Express, Chase and Mercedes-Benz.

“Adam is a proven and respected veteran in the very highly specialized industry that we operate in and will be able to speak to clients from a unique ‘been there done that’ perspective,” said James Orsini, CEO of Single Touch. “I look forward to working alongside both the mobile savviness Adam brings, coupled with the media depth and understanding that Peter brings as we begin to build out our direct sales effort to complement our successful channel partnership with AT&T.”

The new executive appointments come shortly after Single Touch reported positive financial results for Q1 2014. Overall, the company experienced a 49% increase in revenue and a GAAP net loss of $0.01 per share during the quarter.
