Doug Howe has been named Chief Merchandising Officer for Kohl’s, where he will oversee strategy and merchandising functions while driving the retailer’s initiatives of cultivating a strong portfolio of national and proprietary brands, accelerating speed to market and delivering strong inventory management.
Howe was most recently EVP/Global Chief Merchandising Officer responsible for QVC and HSN at the Qurate Retail Group, a $14 billion retail company comprised of eight brands that also include zulilly, Frontgate and Grandin Road. Prior to being named global merchandising chief in July 2015, Howe held EVP-level merchandising and planning positions at QVC for seven years. Earlier, he held senior product development and merchandising posts at Old Navy, Walmart, QVC and May Department Stores.
Howe will report to Michelle Gass. She held the title of Chief Merchandising and Customer Officer at Kohl’s before being named in September to succeed Kevin Mansell as CEO when he retires following the annual shareholder meeting on May 16.
