Zales, a jewelry retailer, has implemented BevyUp, a collaborative online shopping platform, on the e-Commerce site.
The BevyUp platform is designed to help retailers create a more social online shopping experience, similar to a brick-and-mortar store or mall. To participate in the BevyUp online shopping experience, consumers click on the “Save Ideas, Ask a Friend” tool bar. Then, shoppers can connect with peers directly through Zales.com and browse the e-Commerce site in order to choose items together.
Within the “Save Ideas, Ask a Friend” toolbar, consumers have the ability to:

- Invite people to shop with them online via email or Facebook;
- Browse side-by-side with friends and family;
- Tag products based on overall sentiment, such as “like” and “too expensive”; and
- Chat and leave video messages for participants if they’re not available at a specific time.
