Von Maur Department Store has implemented the Oracle Retail Merchandising System suite to support same-store revenue growth as well as scheduled expansion into new markets in the U.S. Von Maur currently operates Oracle Retail solutions on the Von Maur e-Commerce site and in 26 stores within 11 states. The solution is designed to help increase customer demand response rates, maintain inventory levels and increase sales. The implementation of the Oracle Retail applications was completed within eight months.
Von Maur utilizes Oracle Retail Demand Forecasting to better understand trend information by store and SKU, anticipate out-of-stocks, and identify underperforming merchandise. In addition, the retailer leverages Oracle Retail Merchandise Financial Planning to establish more consistent and accurate planning processes, while improving in-season budgeting and insights to the overall analysis of budgets.
