Real estate firm See Wee Homes has launched a home décor boutique storefront at a new realty location in North Charleston, S.C. Lisa Grant, Broker and Owner of See Wee Homes, decided to blend real estate and home décor by incorporating a retail space relevant to the interests of prospective home buyers.
Born and raised in the rural town of Awendaw, S.C. Grant wants to give back by offering quality goods made by artists from around the globe and items created locally in Charleston. Clients will find items such as handcrafted mosaic and Peruvian artwork, banana bark craft from Tanzania and throw pillows created using handmade textiles. The new venture also includes an ecommerce component on the See Wee Homes website. Within the 1,400-square-foot space, Grant included a conference room, training room, private office and kitchenette.
During her undergraduate years as a student at Virginia’s Hampton University, Grant was abducted at gunpoint but managed to escape. The entrepreneur has channeled that experience into performing good works and serving others.
“Being a victim of a crime is stressful, it stays with you forever and at times my anxiety level is still unmanageable,” Grant said in a statement. “I never thought in a million years I would be an entrepreneur working in the service industry. I am a servant leader and helping others is the way I help myself.”
