Mirakl, a global marketplace solutions provider, announced record customer, revenue and organizational growth in 2016. The company experienced a 77% YOY customer count increase, with 100 customers operating marketplace in more than 40 countries, as well as a 100% YOY bookings increase.
According to a 2016 study from Forrester and Mirakl, 53% of consumers who shop online are making purchases on marketplaces three or more times a month. This statistic shows the increasing potential for retailers to see success by developing their own marketplaces. In fact, customers that deployed Mirakl’s Marketplace Platform in 2015 and 2016 have experienced 500% YOY revenue growth. Retailers such as Best Buy Canada and Halfords are currently deploying marketplace models as part of their business strategies.
