Chico’s FAS recently launched the third annual “May Is For Miracles” campaign, designed to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) Hospitals across the nation. All Chico’s FAS brands— Chico’s, White House Black Market, Soma Intimates, and Boston Proper — will participate. The omnichannel program includes a social component in which the retailer will donate money when consumers create and share greeting cards across social networks.
During the 2012 campaign, Chico’s FAS raised more than $1.3 million for CMN Hospitals. This year, the company hopes to increase total financial contributions, according to a company press release. Customers can donate to “May Is For Miracles” at all Chico’s FAS brand boutiques nationwide, outlets and online, as well as through a unique online social marketing campaign: “Send A Smile.”

Chico’s FAS partnered with ePrize, a multichannel campaign solution provider, to create the “Send A Smile” campaign. Consumers can participate by creating a card through Facebook or a mobile-enabled microsite. Participants can share their experiences with friends and family via Facebook, Twitter, Google+, Pinterest and email. Cards then are printed and sent to children being treated at CMN Hospitals. Chico’s FAS will donate one dollar for every card created, with a maximum contribution of $50,000.
Chico’s will sell limited-edition “miracle” bracelets, while White House Black Market will sell “creating miracles” bracelets. Both accessories will be sold in stores, at outlets and online for $20, with $10 of each purchase going to CMN hospitals. In addition, Soma Intimates will donate 50% of proceeds from the Sensualities Collection, up to $20,000, and Boston Proper will donate 10% of proceeds from the Travel Collection, up to $15,000.
“Chico’s FAS and our customers believe in the importance of creating a better future for children in the communities in which our customers live,” said David Dyer, President and CEO of Chico’s FAS, Inc. “Through the sale of limited-edition product, percentage of sales benefitting CMN Hospitals, in-boutique and online donations, and our 2013 ‘Send A Smile’ campaign, we are deeply committed to helping local Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals and the millions of kids they treat each year. These children are facing every disease and injury imaginable and they need our help.”
