BJ’s Wholesale Club Improves Hiring Process Efficiencies With PeopleAnswers HR Solution

BJ’s Wholesale Club has partnered with PeopleAnswers, a web-based hiring assessment provider, to improve hiring process efficiencies. The PeopleAnswers pre-employment assessment software and applicant workflow technology is designed to identify the “behavioral DNA” of potential and existing team members to create customized, behaviorally based performance profiles. These profiles assist in identifying those who best meet the retailer’s hiring criteria. After candidates complete the PeopleAnswers assessment, the software matches them with the BJ’s positions that best correspond to candidates’ behaviors and tendencies. “PeopleAnswers’ HR solution will help us be more competitive in team member selection, and support even smoother club openings,” said Susan Hoffman, Senior Vice President, Human Resources, and Chief People Officer at BJ’s. The solution rolled out as a tool for identifying, selecting and hiring candidates for hourly positions in 15 BJ’s clubs. According to a PeopleAnswers press release, the retailer plans to implement the solution in its remaining 177 clubs within the next several months. Macy’s, Pier 1, RadioShack and Roundy’s Supermarkets are among the chains already using PeopleAnswers.
