Lightspeed POS Inc., a cloud-based POS software solution for retailers, has closed a $166 million Series D funding round. Caisse de dépôt et placement du Québec led the round, with additional participation from Investissement Québec, iNovia Capital and Silicon Valley Bank.
The Canadian technology company, which operates in more than 100 countries, will use the funds to support continued innovation of its omnichannel retail and mobile restaurant solutions as well as global expansion to address market demand. Lightspeed POS has raised $292 million in funding to date.
