DICK’S Sporting Goods Launches New Off-Price Store Concept

DICK’S Sporting Goods continues its nationwide expansion with the opening of four stores this May, including one DICK’S Sporting Goods store, one Warehouse Sale location and two locations of its new off-price store concept — Going, Going, Gone! The openings will bring the retailer’s store count to 731 locations in 47 states.

The new Going, Going, Gone! Stores — located in Avon, Ind., and Monroeville, Pa. — will offer discounts on footwear and apparel from brands carried at regular DICK’S Sporting Goods stores. The DICK’S Sporting Goods Warehouse Sale concept offers deep discounts on hundreds of items marked 70% off or more.

The retailer also will roll out new experiential “Soccer Shops” inside current DICK’S Sporting Goods stores, and debut six redesigned Golf Galaxy locations and expanded technology offerings in eight additional stores in select cities.

The redesigned Golf Galaxy stores will offer an immersive golf experience, providing access to TrackMan and BioMech Golf technologies, state-of-the-art hitting bays, custom fittings, golf lessons from Class A Certified PGA and LPGA Professionals and equipment, apparel and footwear from top golf brands such as Callaway, TaylorMade, PING, Titleist, Nike, adidas, Under Armour, PUMA and more.


DICK’S Soccer Shopswill offer service from in-store soccer experts who are specially trained to help customers find the equipment they need and the right fit for their cleats. The Soccer Shops will feature a variety of updated in-store elements, including an elevated cleat shop and an expanded selection of licensed jerseys in select locations.

In April, DICK’S debuted its first-ever experiential House of Sport concept, which the brand will use as a research and development lab to test new concepts and ideas that can then be applied across its store fleet. A second House of Sport location will open in Knoxville, Tenn. later this spring.
