Perry Ellis has rolled out expanded and secure pickup options for customers who use the company’s buy online, pick up anywhere services, through a partnership with alternative delivery platform Via.Delivery. To help prevent the threat of package theft from in front of customers’ homes, the 21,000 Via.Delivery locations, typically located within retail stores, will hold packages for up to seven calendar days.
Perry Ellis and brands from its portfolio including An Original Penguin by Munsingwear, Rafaella, Cubavera, Callaway and GolfApparelShop.com have adopted Via.Delivery’s order management system and are supported by the company’s network of logistics and fulfillment providers.
More than 210 million packages were reported missing from U.S. porches in 2021, with 64.1% of Americans reporting package theft in the last year and 53.5% noting multiple deliveries were stolen, according to a study from Safewise.
“Via.Delivery is enabling Perry Ellis to address package theft head-on,” said Jay Nigrelli, SVP of Ecommerce at Perry Ellis International. “Not only are we giving shoppers flexible delivery options, we’re providing them secure locations to hold their packages.”
