Staples has launched tiered Total Support Plans to provide customers with access to 24/7/365 computer support. The new plans were developed to protect customers from viruses, identity theft, crashed laptops, accidents and other problems with a live agent available at any time of day.
Customers who purchase a new computer at Staples or have an existing computer can select from one of three plans that all include varying levels of hardware and software protection and daily maintenance. They can also use the Staples Connect App to access all of the plan details in one place. The plans include:
- Total Support: Starting at $199.99, this plan includes two years of computer protection and tech support, one year of McAfee Antivirus protection, setup and optimization with data transfer, program installation and access to digital videos on tech tutorials and more;
- Total Support Plus: Starting at $349.99, this plan includes everything in Total Support as well as two years of accidental damage from handling such as drops, spills and cracked screens for new laptops and two years of McAfee Antivirus protection; and
- Total Support Max: Starting at $399.99, this plan includes everything in Total Support Plus as well as up to four years of computer protection and accidental damage, identity theft protection that monitors sites and alerts for fraud, and identity restoration with up to $1 million in identity theft coverage and hands-on restoration assistance.
“At Staples, our main priority is to help our customers succeed wherever and however they work and learn, and that includes helping them plan for the unplanned such as computer viruses or crashes,” said Craig Grayson, SVP, Services at Staples U.S. Retail in a statement. “Our new Staples Total Support Plans are a built-in backup plan for when the unplanned does inevitably happen, and help is available at any hour of the day to get our customers back up and running as quickly as possible.”
