But the uncertain economy could keep wallets tightly shut: 78% of consumers say they have increased saving behaviors, and 60% say they’re more budget-conscious.

Retailers can maximize their appeal to holiday shoppers with personalized offers and discounts as well as advice on where to find the best deals locally: 39% of consumers identified these as information they want to receive from advertisers.
