Online Search Drove Sales During Thanksgiving Weekend

Technological advancements in natural language detection and keyword matching are driving consumers to use search more than ever this holiday season: This Cyber 5 — the sales window between Thanksgiving and Cyber Monday — saw a 20% year-over-year bump in total search volume and, even more important for retailers, an 83% increase in search-attributed add-to-carts. The search frenzy was concentrated during Cyber 5: there was an 85% increase in search queries compared to the five days prior.
