Mother’s Day Generates 192% Revenue Boost For Specialty Retail

We all owe our mothers a lot, but U.S. specialty retailers should spring for the premium chocolates and an extra dozen roses this Mother’s Day. The holiday, which falls on May 14 this year, generates a 192% revenue boost for this vertical, along with a 133% rise in the View Through Conversion (VTC) rate.

Beauty products are popular gifts for moms in the U.S., which sees a 76% increase in beauty ad conversions and a 62% revenue increase in the two weeks prior to the holiday compared to the following 14 days. In Asia, however, nothing says “I love you, mom” like consumer electronics: the APAC region sees a 70% increase in conversions in this category, compared to only 19% in the UK, according to this infographic from AdRoll.
