Hungry Hungry Students: College Kids Spend 54% of Budget on Food

College students are a hungry lot: food is their largest expense, soaking up 54% of their spending, and in a typical week those ordering with meal or grocery apps will do so three times, according to a recent survey by Wakefield Research for Amazon Prime Student. Food dwarfs other spending categories, including personal health and wellness (11%) and technology (8%).

Students also are generous with their passwords, at least when it comes to streaming services: 55% share three or more streaming services with others. Discover more about the spending habits of collegians in this infographic from Amazon Prime Student.
