Both consumers and marketers give high marks to user generated content (UGC): 85% of shoppers find visual UGC more influential than a brand’s photos and videos, and 65% of marketers agree. But there’s much more that retailers can do to maximize the value of UGC. For example, more than half of consumers want guidance on what kinds of content to share, but only 16% of brands offer such advice.
