COVID Panic Buying Ate Up 4 Months of Demand in 2 Weeks for Key Product Categories

Call it the Power of Panic Buying: shortages of toilet paper and cleaning products in the early days of the pandemic were the result of retailers experiencing four months of demand in the space of just two weeks. In total, COVID-19 revealed $76 billion in new out-of-stocks.
