COVID-19 Impact: 39% Of Shoppers Couldn’t Find Every Item They Sought Online

Nearly half (47%) of consumers stepped up their online shopping in the early days of the COVID-19 shutdown, but 39% were unable to find everything they wanted on e-Commerce sites. Additionally, 25% were not receiving deliveries within the expected timeframe.

Among the 1,515 U.S. residents responding to a survey conducted March 23 to 31, 35% expected to be spending more at retail across all channels in the wake of the pandemic, with 16% expecting to boost expenditures by more than 10%, and 56% loading up, or expecting to load up, on bulk quantities.
