75% of Americans Plan to Take a Summer Vacation as the Pandemic Fades

Travel is coming back in a big way: 75% of Americans plan to take a summer vacation this year. However, 82% said that budget was their top concern when making plans, showing that price will remain king even at the end of the pandemic.

The most common purpose of these trips is spending time with family, at 77%, so retailers across the country should be ready to meet these travelers’ needs. Other top destinations include the beach or a lake (75%) and visiting a completely new place (74%).
