Minneapolis-based furniture brand Blu Dot worked with design firm Far+Dang to build its first store in Dallas. It’s the retailer’s 11th store in the U.S. and 14th worldwide.
The 9,600-square-foot store is in the Knox Henderson neighborhood, a historic upscale shopping and cultural destination in the city. Within the four walls of the brick-clad, warehouse-style building, white oak structures act as floating screens to provide dimension and intimacy. The loft-like space includes a series of vignettes styled with a curated assortment of Blu Dot home and office items. The location also features two patios that showcase Blu Dot’s growing collection of outdoor furniture.
“25 years ago, we loaded up the van with Blu Dot’s first prototypes and drove to New York with a vision” said John Christakos, CEO. “Since then, we’ve steadily grown over time attracting some loyal fans along the way, while most importantly, remaining true to our purpose of inspiring a more creative way of living through good design that’s good to everyone.”
