Blosm Improves Page Performance With Automated Data Collection

 
Providing detailed inventory descriptions on the e-Commerce site is one of the keys to capturing consumer attention. However, gathering and integrating product information and updating site content can be an arduous, manual process for retailers.

To address this challenge, Thanx Media has released Blosm, a platform designed to automate data collection from multiple sources. After collecting the data, Blosm integrates all relevant information into existing product descriptions on the e-Commerce site. Rich media, videos and social feedback also can be incorporated into a site page.

Modern Automotive Performance, a performance auto parts and services retailer, recently implemented Blosm and added 5,000 SKUs to the online storefront in less than six months. With more detailed product content, the retailer has seen a 16.75% increase in site visitors and 66% in number of page views, according to a company press release. Previously, it took the company more than six years to add 15,000 products to the e-Commerce site.

A variety of other retailers, including Crescent Electric Supply, Goedeker’s and HP Products also have adopted the Blosm platform to create more detailed and compelling product descriptions online.
