Lowe’s has named Donald Frieson as EVP, Supply Chain. In this role, he will handle the company’s distribution centers, logistics, global sourcing, transportation and delivery services, reporting to CEO Marvin Ellison.
Frieson was most recently COO at Sam’s Club, where he was responsible for all club operations, including the supply chain for more than 650 locations in the U.S. and Puerto Rico. He also has served as SVP, Replenishment and Inventory Planning at Sam’s Club and SVP, Supply Chain at Walmart.

“Don has a proven track-record of driving seamless logistics and operations excellence within large, complex retail organizations with big bulky products, and we are delighted to welcome him to the team,” said Ellison. “Don will bring deep experience and technical expertise to lead the transformation of our supply chain to meet the needs of our omnichannel customers.”
Lowe’s recently underwent an executive-level shakeup, with the home improvement retailer eliminating the COO, Chief Customer Officer, Corporate Administration Executive and Chief Development Officer titles. The realignment included SVP of Supply Chain Operations Mike West temporarily serving as EVP, Supply Chain while the company searched for a permanent appointment.
