Multichannel retailer HSN, Inc. has promoted its SVP of Talent Management Maria Martinez to Chief Human Resources Officer, effective immediately. In her new role, Martinez will be responsible for executing human resources strategies in support of the company’s business objectives across its HSNi and Cornerstone operating segments.
Specifically, Martinez will spearhead talent acquisition and assessment, succession planning, leadership development, employee engagement, performance management, total rewards and wellness programs.
With more than 20 years of experience in strategic planning, organizational development and team building, Martinez initially joined HSN in 1995 as a Manager in Human Resources Subsidiaries. She was promoted to VP in 2005. During her time away from HSN, Martinez held senior-level positions in human resources for Bausch &Lomb and Darden Restaurants. She also established the Laser SpineInstitute’s human resources function.

Martinez rejoined HSN in 2010. She most recently served as SVP and oversaw the talent management function for HSNi and human resources and talent development for the Cornerstone brands.
