Walmart, Airbnb And Grunt Style Execs Will Keynote At RetailX

RetailX, the co-location of three leading retail industry trade shows — Internet Retailer Conference & Exhibition (IRCE), GlobalShop and RFID Journal Live! Retail — has announced the four keynote speakers who will take the stage during the three-day event from June 25–27, 2019, at McCormick Place in Chicago. During the event, Retail TouchPoints is partnering with RetailX to present Retail TouchPoints Live! @ RetailX, which will take place from June 25-26.

The keynote speakers include:

  • Doug Stephens, Retail Futurist at The Retail Prophet;
  • Andy Dunn, Senior VP of Digital Consumer Brands at Walmart;
  • Chip Conley, Strategic Advisor of Airbnb; and
  • Daniel Alarik, CEO & Founder of Grunt Style.

Doug Stephens will host the featured keynote session at Retail TouchPoints Live!, titled: The Future of Retail in a Post-Digital World, on June 25 at 3 PM CT. During the session, Stephens will provide a tour through the future of the retail industry and explain how shopping is being redefined across the board, whether through e-Commerce or new technologies such as VR, 3D printing and IoT.

Far from spelling the end of retail, these changes mark a new beginning. Drawing on his latest research, Stephens will share what creative, courageous brands and retailers are doing today to completely reinvent their stores and their strategies.

Andy Dunn, formerly CEO of Bonobos, will host a session titled:Hitching a Rocket to an Engine, Bonobos and Walmart Take Off on June 26 at 8:30 AM CT. Dunn will discuss why the key to unlocking digital brands’ full potential may actually require physical stores. Attendees will learn why digital brands are growing at nearly triple the rate of e-Commerce overall, and why Dunn believes the future of retail is beginning to resemble the history of video.

Chip Conley, the founder of the world’s first midlife wisdom school, The Modern Elder Academy, will host a session titled: Inter-Generational: Leveraging the Power of a New Workplace Diversity on June 26 at 9 AM CT. The entrepreneur and best-selling author will explain why the intergenerational exchange of wisdom and skills is key to the success of the modern workplace and our society.

Daniel Alarik will host the session titled:True Grit: A Warriors’ Mettle Builds an E-Commerce Brand, on June 27 at 8:45 AM CT. Grunt Style is an online patriotic lifestyle retailer designed for a new class of warriors: first-responders, military veterans and their friends and family. With two million social media followers and sales of $100 million over three years, Alarik will share how grit, determination and the willingness to take risks is the starting point for success in today’s challenging yet opportunity-filled e-Commerce environment.
