Beauty subscription service Ipsy has expanded its business beyond sample-sized offerings. The retailer has launched its new Glam Bag Plus subscription, which will ship customers five full-sized items for $25 per month. Ipsy sends a mix of products that are based on the subscriber’s beauty profile.
Ipsy is seeking to capitalize on its established customer base as well as attract new customers who prefer full-sized products to sample-sized ones. The Plus bags, which will begin to roll out in October, include a makeup bag produced in-house Customers will receive the bags on the first delivery, then every third delivery afterwards – and full-sized beauty products that normally retail for more than $120, according to Ipsy.
The new service will focus on skin care and hair products, especially from newer brands that may not offer a wide range of samples at this time. Ipsy will work with brands including Sunday Riley, Ciaté London, Purlisse, Morphe, Tarte Cosmetics and Buxom.
