Boxed has rolled out a premium membership service called Boxed Up. Members pay a $49 per year fee with a 30-day free trial, half that of the $99 Amazon Prime annual membership fee.
Benefits include 2% cash rewards on purchases and free priority shipping for orders as low as $19.99. The free priority threshold is much lower than the wholesaler’s current minimum of $49 for nonmembers.
Boxed Up priority shipping does not guarantee two-day delivery, though Boxed says on its web site that most orders get to customers within two business days. Boxed Up also lacks the entertainment perks of Amazon Prime. But Amazon does not offer cash back via Prime, giving Boxed a slight rewards advantage.

Members also will receive rotating promotions and giveaways, including a 15% discount on the company’s recently expanded line of Prince & Spring private label goods, as well as 25% off items such as Capri Sun, LIFEWTR and Starbucks Cold Brew. Boxed Up will offer competitive price matching.
Boxed Up is available for B2C and B2B customers alike, but businesses may find even more value in the service. Boxed recently expanded its B2B inventory, adding more items targeted toward Millennial tastes within office buildings, particularly within a breakroom.
