BigCommerce has named two leaders for its European business. The solution provider has hired Mark Adams as VP and General Manager for Europe, and Deepak Anand as Director of European Business Development.
Adams will head the company’s expansion throughout Europe, with responsibilities including the day-to-day management of the new BigCommerce office in London. He previously worked for eComp Consulting, an e-Commerce consulting agency he founded, as well as design and solution agency Portaltech.

Anand was most recently UK general manager for Shopware. He previously held a number of leadership positions at companies including Magento and PayPal.
BigCommerce already has thousands of European customers, including Ben & Jerry’s and Ford. Both Adams and Anand will work on expanding the company’s ecosystem in the region through the acquisition of new customers, as well as expanding partnerships with e-Commerce designers, development agencies and technology providers.
In July, BigCommerce named Lisa Pearson as CMO. In her new position she oversees all aspects of brand and communications, product marketing, demand generation, customer acquisition and partner marketing.
